WeSUP Safe Paddler Award

Undertaking WeSUP's Safe Paddle Certification will dramatically improve your paddle skill, environmental knowledge and the ability to cope in a number of weather conditions, sea states and emergencies. These skills will also enable superior lesson planning and group safety aweness for those undertaking WeSUP's Senior Instructor Award. WeSUP’s course instructors will guide you through a fun series of learning modules that will ready you for an exciting, professional career teaching SUP, or simply give you the skills to look after yourself and others whilst our on the water.

We will deliver a highly practical course in which will teach you exceptional leadership, group safety, essential paddle skills, first class customer care and the ability to prevent drowning and accidents. The practical course will be bolstered by a multiple choice exam which you must pass to achieve your status as a WeSUP Senior Instructor or Certified WeSUP Safe Paddler.

Under the teaching methods of the Safe Paddler Award (WSPA), we have taught thousands of customers ranging from professional athletes, elderly pensioners and everyone in between. WSPA is our answer to exceptional and lawful safety for your clients and the aspiring safe Stand Up Paddleboarder.

£220 - 2 Day practical & 1/2 day Operating Safety Systems + Exam

WSPA has been built around the UK’s first and only fully audited SUP Specific Safe Management System (SMS) which we have developed with leading consultants at the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS). This ensures that when it comes to understanding customer safety and the government’s best practice guidelines, we have been advised by the best.

Course Objectives

WSPA courses happen just once a month down at WeSUP in Falmouth. If you have a group of 4 or more, we will come to you at a time that suits you best. Travel expenses and accomodation will need to be covered for the course modorator and assistant.
